Fire at Oakland homeless camp destroys 15 to 20 dwellings

Plumes of thick black smoke could be seen for miles. As it billowed from this homeless encampment in East Oakland near the BART tracks on the intersection of 22nd Avenue and East 12th street. A homeless camp fire was extinguished this afternoon but not before the camp destroyed 15 to 20 dwellings.
