Ice skating in undies and annual Alcatraz swim offer chilly thrills in San Francisco

The New Year got off to a chilly start around the Bay Area. Clad in bikinis, Speedos and sunglasses, ice skaters of all skill levels participated in the annual Polar Bear Skate competition Tuesday afternoon in San Francisco's Union Square. If that wasn't enough, swimmer braved 53 degree water for a dip in the Bay for the Alcatraz swim.
