Escaped inmates caught trying to re-enter US from Mexico

Two Monterey County inmates who escaped from jail Sunday are back in custody. Jonathan Salazar and Santos Fonseca arrived back at the Monterey County jail Wednesday afternoon. A tip led investigators to Mexico, where the escapees were captured at the U.S. border around midnight, then driven back to Salinas.
