SFPD Chief Scott offers rare apology to man shot and injured by plainclothes officer
San Francisco’s chief of police on Thursday offered a rare public apology for the plainclothes officers involved in shooting and injuring a man last week during the investigation of a “known auto burglary suspect.” The officer who fired his weapon also issued an apology through his attorney. Plainclothes units are on pause, but not their investigations, as a result of the shooting.
