Judge overturns SFUSD decision to cover high school mural

A San Francisco Superior Court judge overturned a 2019 decision by the city's school district to cover up a controversial mural at George Washington High School. The work, named "Life of Washington", was painted by Victor Arnautoff has become a source of debate because of its depiction of slavery and the subjugation of Native Americans.
