Body found near San Francisco pier

The body of a person was found near Pier 22.5 in San Francisco on Saturday, police said.

The body was discovered near the Embarcadero around 12:30 p.m., police said.

The city's police department released little information but said officers would continue to investigate.

The victim was not identified.
