It's lit: Tree at Oakland's Jack London Square has lights on

The annual holiday tree lighting in Oakland's Jack London Square will take place on Dec. 7 from 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

The free event, sponsored by KTVU Fox 2, will also feature a laser light show and photos with Santa, Frosty, Holiday Teddy Bear and the Peppermint Princess. 

There will also be performances by Oaktown Jazz Workshops' Performance Ensemble and The Lyric Performing Arts Academy. 

The event will take place near Plank in Jack London Square.
