Drop-in vaccination site opening for residents on Treasure Island

SAN FRANCISCO - A new vaccine site will be opening to exclusively serve people who live on Treasure Island.

The first drop-in site will open on the island on Saturday at the Ship Shape Community Center. 

Local lawmakers have called on the city to step up vaccinations for the island's residents.

Treasure Island is home to the third-largest black and Latino communities in all of the city's neighborhoods.
