Grass fire near Lake Berryessa forces evacuations
NAPA COUNTY, Calif. (KTVU) - A 45-acre vegetation fire burning near Lake Berryessa has prompted evacuations, according to the Napa County Sheriff's Office.
The fire, dubbed the Canyon Fire, broke out around 2:12 p.m. on Highway 128 at Wragg Canyon Road, 16 miles east of St. Helena in Napa.
Evacuations were ordered for the south side of Highway 128 at Wragg Canyon Road, deputies say.
All lanes of Highway 128 is closed in both directions as of 4:41 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol. There is no estimated time to reopen the roadway.
