Michigan couple charged after wedding day argument ends in groomsman’s death
FLINT, Mich. - A Michigan couple has been charged in the death of a man who served as a groomsman for their wedding.
Flint Police said on August 30, officers responded to a pedestrian injury crash.
They identified the victim as 29-year-old Terry Lewis Taylor Jr. and had suffered severe injuries before passing away at a local hospital.
An investigation revealed that Taylor was a groomsman at a wedding earlier in the day. He was involved in an argument which led to him being struck by a large SUV driven by the groom, 22-year-old James Shirah, police said.
Shirah has been charged with second degree murder. His bride, 21-year-old Savahna Collier, has been charged with felony accessory after the fact.
