Video: Firefighters rescue 10 ducklings from Union City storm drain

UNION CITY, Calif. (KTVU) - Firefighters helped rescue 10 ducklings that were trapped in a storm drain on Saturday in Union City.

The Alameda County Fire Department shared video on Facebook of an Engine 32 firefighter inside a drain just before 6 p.m. on the 4700 block of Cabello Street in Union City. 

With the sound of a concerned mother duck quacking in the background, crews passed each duckling one-by-one into a cardboard box.  

All 10 were safely release in a nearby creek and “safely reunited with their momma.”
