VIDEO: SF Giants pitcher Jake Peavy sings to kids at UCSF Children's Hospital
SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco Giants’ starting pitcher Jake Peavy, displayed his talents for a different kind of a crowd - by playing guitar and singing for patients at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco.
The two-time World Series Champion, put smiles on the kids' faces and offered words of encouragement as he sang Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds," Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down, and Wet Willie Band's "Keep on Smilin," which Peavy called his theme song.
The event was part of a new partnership between UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco and Musicians On Call, a nonprofit that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of pediatric and adults patients.
