Bay Area artist scribing entire US Constitution with quill pens to get out the vote

A Brisbane artist is hoping her art, through the stroke of a pen, will help get out the vote this Election Day. Beth Grossman is in the process of transcribing the entire US Constitution on old US Mint money bags using quill feather pens. The pens are the same tool used by scribes of the original document in the 1700's.

Nice and quiet for Tuesday

Only subtle weather changes are expected for Tuesday. A cool start to the day with temperatures ranging from low 40s inland to low 50s around the bay, will be followed by seasonal afternoon highs, ranging from low 60s at the coast to low 80s in our valleys.

Maria Su expected to be confirmed as new SFUSD Superintendent

San Francisco's school board will vote on Tuesday to confirm Maria Su as the district's new superintendent after Matt Wayne abruptly stepped down Friday. On Monday, she picked up a vote of confidence from the head of California's Department of Education.
