Disabled man's dog stolen twice
HAYWARD - An East Bay man is searching for his service dog after it was stolen from a Safeway parking lot.
Arthur Renowitzky says three men stole his apricot toy poodle from the Safeway parking lot on Foothill Boulevard in Hayward.
He says he was getting out of a friend's car and into his wheelchair when his dog named Love, jumped on to the pavement. That's when Arthur says the men took her.
Love has been Arthur's companion dog since his spinal cord injury 10 years ago. He says this is the second time she has been stolen from him.
He is offering a $1500 reward for anyone that finds her.
