Lake Merritt BART station closed this weekend
OAKLAND, Calif. (BCN) - BART officials are reminding riders that the Lake Merritt station in Oakland will remain closed throughout the Memorial Day weekend to accommodate planned track work.
The station was closed Saturday and will remain so today and Monday. Riders should expect 20- to 40-minute delays in the area, as there is no service between the Lake Merritt and Fruitvale stations.
Riders can take a free bus bridge between the Fruitvale and 19th Street stations for the duration of the weekend, according to BART officials.
