Large-scale tiny home village to open by Lake Merritt
OAKLAND, Calif. - A tiny home village in Oakland will open for the homeless, city leaders announced on Monday.
The city calls it the first large-scale tiny home village with space for 65 people on the largest parcel of city-owned land near Lake Merritt, in District 2.
Oakland is teaming up with the Housing Consortium of the East Bay to build and manage the village.
