Oakland teen detained in bus holdup; weapons later seized from home
OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - Alameda County sheriff's deputies searched the home of an 18-year-old man wanted in connection with a robbery on an AC Transit bus.
A search warrant was conducted Tuesday at Tyheir Bolden's home, which is located on 20th Street in Oakland.
During a search of Bolden's residence deputies found four firearms including:
- M16-A1 fully automatic assault rifle
- AR-10 .308 semi-automatic assault rifle, with no markings or serial numbers
- Sig Sauer P226R 9mm, stolen
- Smith and Wesson .22LR semi-auto pistol, stolen
- 1 drum magazine with a 90 round capacity and multiple high capacity magazines for the AR-10.
- Soft body armor (bullet proof vest)
According to the Alameda County Sheriff's Department, Bolden has a long history of robbery and is suspected in other crimes.
Bolden was arrested 11 weapons related felonies and was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
The Oakland Police and ATF are assisting the Alameda County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
