Officers investigate stabbing at Union City high school
UNION CITY, Calif. (KTVU) - A student at James Logan High School in Union City was stabbed and another was arrested. The incident prompted a campus lockdown.
According to authorities a student was stabbed while at school. The student was taken to the hospital.
The extent of the student's injuries was unclear.
KTVU cameras were rolling as Union City police rushed off with sirens blaring to a market along Mission Boulevard in Hayward, where the suspect was arrested. Students told KTVU that the suspect is 15 years old, while the student who was stabbed is 16 years old.
Union City police Capt. Travis Souza said a motive in the stabbing was not yet known. Souza said a second student suffered minor injuries in the incident.
