Puppy love: Dogs marry in mass pet wedding in time for Valentine's Day

LIMA, PERU - Dog owners are experiencing some "puppy love" ahead of Valentine's day in Peru. Crowds turned out in Lima to watch dogs walk the aisle and tie the knot in a canine wedding ceremony.

This is the seventh year the event's run, and it serves to promote responsible pet ownership. Several four-legged couples made their marriage official with the stamp of a paw as their humans watched on.

This year, some cats even participated as well. After the ceremonies, the newly-weds walked off into the sunset to live happily ever after.
