Question of the Day: Do you think UC Berkeley should sell alcohol at games?
Right now more than three dozen colleges across the country sell alcohol at their games. The only one to do so in California is San Diego State but that school's stadium is located off-campus. UC Berkeley would be the first college in the state to offer alcohol at an on-campus stadium.
Cal's athletic department says it may start selling alcohol at football and basketball games that could generate up to $300,000 a year, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
It may also sell the naming rights to Memorial Stadium, which could raise $5 million annually. The university says it plans to work closely with campus leadership but says no decisions have been made.
