San Francisco to hire 220 police officers
SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco's new budget calls for more police officers.
Supervisors on Tuesday voted 10 to 1 to approve the two-year, $14 billion plan
The budget funds Mayor London Breed's top priorities, including hiring 220 new police officers.
Supervisor Dean Preston tweeted that he voted against the budget, because it includes quote: "A massive, unnecessary and counterproductive increase in police funding."
