Search underway for plane that crashed into Lake Tulloch
CALAVERAS COUNTY, Calif. (KTVU) - A search is underway for a small plane that crashed Sunday after hitting power lines at Lake Tulloch in Calaveras County, authorities said.
Authorities say that an eyewitness reported that the plane hit the power lines at about 11:45 a.m. and went into the lake nose-first near the Poker Flat area and quickly sank.
The Tuolumne county sheriff's office say the pilot was the only person aboard the plane when it went down.
No information was immediately available about the type of plane, or the pilot's condition.
