Watsonville couple arrested for taking toddler along on crime spree
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. - A Watsonville couple was arrested for taking their toddler on a string of robberies.
According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Department, detectives arrested 20-year-old Antonio Bravo along with his girlfriend 20-year-old Diana Pacheco.
Bravo is accused of robbing three woman, in separate incidents, of their purses at gunpoint in Live Oak and Capitola, while Pacheco drove the getaway car.
Investigators say the couple’s three-year-old son was in the car during all of the robberies.
The couple was arrested Wednesday at 10:15 a.m.
Authorities say Bravo used the victim’s credit cards at several businesses, including a fast food restaurant.
Pacheco was arrested for identity theft and child endangerment, while Bravo was arrested for two counts of robbery, identify theft, child endangerment and conspiracy. Both were booked into the county jail.
